These two women (Lyndsay Buehler and Lousie Hayes) are our Blog Idols!!! Their Frontier College Ottawa blog is simply excellent, a wonderful collection of wit, useful information and updates for volunteers. Great job guys.
National Volunteer Week, April 23 to April 29, pays special tribute to Canadian volunteers across the country who give of themselves to better their communities and the lives of others. Volunteers Grow Community remains the theme for NVW this year as so many of you have commented on its appropriateness for this springtime celebration! Ooh.
I can definitely handle being somebody's idol.
I'm not so sure I can handle having my photo posted so close to a photo of a big beige piece of meat, though. (I suppose I should clarify that I'm talking about the food pic and not Louise. Hah.)

Phew! Lyndsay, that is a load off my chest. At least I have my eyes open in this photo...
And yes - I suppose I will manage having to be somebody's idol. It's a cross to bare - but we'll work through it.
